The Chick-Fil-A scholarship is a scholarship program that was pioneered by the Chick-Fil-A restaurant, which happens to be among one of the largest fast-food restaurants in the United States. It was founded on the 23rd of May 1946 by S. Truett Cathy and has its headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, United States of America.
The restaurant set up this scholarship program to assist their employees in furthering their education as it helps in reducing the financial burden that their employees bear.
Since its inception in 1970, it is estimated that the scholarship board has disbursed over $136 million in scholarships to over 80,000 employees in a bid to enable them to pursue their academic goals and also have a remarkable future.
However, this scholarship program provides up to two different types of scholarship programs for its employees, which are
- The true inspiration scholarship award, valued at $25,000 and
- The leadership scholarship award, which is valued between $1,000 and $2,500
